These terms apply to your use of this website, run by Green Development Caucus Foundation (“GDC Foundation”, “we”, “us”), P.O. Box 2887–00100, Nairobi, Kenya. By using the website you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The information on this site

We share information about climate, farming and resilience to explain our work and help people understand the issues. It is general information, not professional advice for your particular farm, project or investment.

We work to keep it accurate and current, but weather, research and policy change, and we cannot guarantee that everything on the site is complete or up to date. Please seek qualified advice before making decisions that depend on it.

Using our content

The text, paper-cut artwork, film, logo and design of this website belong to GDC Foundation. You are welcome to quote short passages, or share links to our pages, for non-commercial purposes such as teaching, research and news, as long as you credit GDC Foundation and link back to the page.

For any other use, including reproducing our artwork or logo, or using our content commercially, please ask us first at thegreendcfoundation@gmail.com.

Some photographs on this site were taken by independent photographers and are used under the Pexels licence. Each one is credited at the foot of the page where it appears. Those photographs are not ours to license to you.

Using the site properly

When you use this website, you agree not to:

• send us anything unlawful, abusive, misleading or that infringes someone else’s rights;
• use the contact form to send advertising or bulk messages;
• try to break into, overload or interfere with the website or the systems behind it;
• pretend to be GDC Foundation, or suggest we endorse you, without our written agreement.

Gifts

Gifts made through this website are voluntary donations to GDC Foundation and are used for our charitable work. We will send you a receipt for every gift.

If you give the wrong amount by mistake, or your gift is taken twice, email thegreendcfoundation@gmail.com within 14 days and we will refund the error. You can stop a monthly gift at any time by emailing us or using the link in any receipt, and it will stop before the next payment.

Payments are processed by Safaricom M-Pesa and our card payment partner, under their own terms.

Links to other websites

Where we link to websites run by others, we do so for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

Our responsibility to you

We provide this website free of charge and as it is. We aim to keep it available and free of errors and harmful code, but we cannot promise that it always will be.

As far as the law allows, GDC Foundation is not liable for any loss that results from using, or being unable to use, this website or relying on its information. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Kenyan law that cannot be limited, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2012.

How we handle any personal information you share with us is explained in our privacy policy.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. If a disagreement arises, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it with you directly. Any dispute that cannot be resolved that way will be decided by the courts of Kenya.
